This should be common sense but a lot of people think they can keep getting better drawing the same thing over and over. Of course there are plenty of people on this site that actually don't want to get better and yell at you for critiquing them because apparently they think hobby artists don't need to improve.

This is all very good advice, I wish more people would take it.

Actually I'm doing this stuff in my spare time. It IS quite helpful to break off of habits. Of course my gallery is full of pokemon fanshit, but it does help when I have to draw a human sometime and not look like a total idiot.
